Year 8

  •          Talks in assembly/tutor to inspire and inform about a variety of careers.
  •          Introductory talks by the careers advisor/co-ordinator.
  •          Educational visits to an employer.
  •          Post 16 taster/talk at a local college.
  •          Individual meetings by request or referral.

Year 9

  •          Careers library open.
  •          Access to online careers programmes.
  •          Aspirational talks in assembly/tutor to inspire and inform about a variety of careers.
  •          Introductory talks by the careers advisor/co-ordinator.
  •          GCSE Option Choices advice by the careers advisor/co-ordinator.
  •          Educational visits to an employer.
  •          Post 16 taster/talk at a local college.
  •          Individual meetings by request or referral.

Year 10

  •          Careers library open.
  •          Access to online careers programmes.
  •          Events advertised throughout the year.
  •          Apprenticeships and jobs advertised on main notice board.
  •          College courses advertised on the main notice board.
  •          Parents are invited to engage in next stage pathway.
  •          Parents invited to a careers fair.
  •          All students given careers meeting(s) with careers advisor/co-ordinator.
  •          Educational visits to employers, colleges and universities.
  •          Work experience one day a week.

Year 11

  •          Careers library open.
  •          Access to online careers programmes.
  •          Events advertised throughout the year.
  •          Apprenticeships and jobs advertised on main board.
  •          College courses advertised on the main notice board.
  •          All students receive a careers meeting with careers advisor/co-ordinator by request or                            referral.
  •          Parents are invited to engage in next stage pathway.
  •          Parents invited to a careers fair.
  •          Educational visits to employers, colleges and universities.
  •          Local college and sixth form interviews held at school or at individual sites.
  •          Students in danger of becoming NEET are taken to additional career fairs.
  •          Work experience one day a week.
